2025 Free Fishing Time

Ontario Family Fishing Events is a province-wide opportunity for Canadian residents to fish Ontario waters for free. The Ontario Government has designated four periods throughout the year as free fishing:
Family Fishing Weekend (February 15 -17, 2025)

• Mother’s Day Weekend (May 10 - 11, 2025)

• Father’s Day Weekend (June 14 & 15, 2025)

• Family Fishing Week (June 28 – July 6, 2025) ​

• ​The Licence-Free Family Fishing Weekend is a great way to introduce new anglers of all ages to fishing in Ontario. This event is Ontario-wide and includes Canadian residents under the conservation license limits. Check out your local area for events that will be running to help promote this fun family event!
